01Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Ladder Trader (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or subscribe to our Services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

02Information we collect

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

  • Information you send us: when you submit the contact form, we receive the name, work email, organization, and message you enter, delivered to our research inbox by email. When you use a sample-request or subscription link, your own email application opens a message addressed to us, and we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, work email, organization, role, and message.
  • Subscriber information: if you purchase a subscription, we process the contact and billing details needed to provide and invoice the Services. Payment card data is handled by our payment processor and is not stored by us.
  • Technical information: our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps, for security and reliability.

03Cookies and analytics

The website does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser may store limited technical data locally to make the site function. If we introduce analytics or other cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent.

04Live market data connections

The live prices, order books, trades, and charts on the website are loaded directly by your browser from Kraken’s public market data services. When these features load, your browser connects to Kraken, which receives your IP address and standard request information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store this market data traffic.

05How we use information

  • to respond to enquiries and sample or report requests;
  • to provide, bill, and support subscriptions;
  • to send research distributions you have requested, such as The Ladder Brief;
  • to maintain the security and performance of the website; and
  • to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.

06Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the Services, such as website hosting, email, and payment processing, under obligations of confidentiality; where required by law or legal process; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

07Retention

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of our relationship, and subscriber records for the duration of the subscription plus any period required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes. Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting provider.

08Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you research distributions, by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and you may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

09Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10International users and children

We operate from the United States, and information may be processed there. The Services are intended for professional users and are not directed to children under 16; we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date above. Questions may be sent to research@laddertrader.org.
